Offices using Hikvision access terminals
See why a check-in and check-out report is refused before sending it to payroll.
Hikvision attendance software can export a report with one row per person and separate check-in and check-out columns. The header shape our tests cover is Person ID, Name, Department, Check-in Time, Check-out Time. WatheeqaHR reads Person ID as the employee ID and the two time columns as the day's check-in and check-out. That shape has no date column, so the file also needs one such as Date, Attendance Date or Event Date, or it is refused.
The automated tests resolve this header row for the ID column: Person ID, Name, Department, Check-in Time, Check-out Time. The test proves the employee ID is found. It does not prove the file is complete, and as written this shape has no date column. Use the attendance or event export of your Hikvision software as Excel or CSV and check that a date column is present.
Person ID is the employee ID and Name the employee name. Check-in Time and Check-out Time are matched as the check-in and check-out columns, because the matcher accepts a label followed by the word Time. Department is not used by the analyzer. Each row is read as one person on one day.
When a file has check-in and check-out columns but no date column, it is refused with 'No attendance-date column was found'. The date column can be called Date, Attendance Date, Work Date, Punch Date, Event Date, Day or the Arabic equivalents التاريخ and تاريخ. Without a date each time has no day to belong to.
If the file has an Access Result column, only rows whose value is granted, allowed, success or successful are counted, ignoring case. Failed attempts and blank values are dropped before any totals, because a refused door event is not attendance. A person who looks absent may simply have a column of non-matching values, so read that column first.
Upload the original export, one month at a time, under 5 MB. In the file preview check that Person ID and a date column are present. If the employee column is missing the refusal lists the first columns it found.
